Ralph C. Kocher, Jr.

Ralph C. Kocher, Jr., 96, of Humboldt, passed away on Friday evening, January 10, 2025, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.

Ralph was born March 12, 1928 in Eagle Grove, the son of Ralph C. and Augusta (Craig) Kocher, Sr. He grew up in Humboldt and graduated from Humboldt High School in 1948. He enlisted in the United States Army. Ralph was united in marriage to Beverly M. Florea on December 3, 1950. The couple made their home in Humboldt and Ralph operated a machine shop in north Humboldt where he specialized in repairing tractors until his retirement in 2013. Ralph enjoyed time with his grandchildren and previously camping and snowmobiling. 

Ralph is survived by his grandchildren; Quentin Kocher, Vanya Kocher, Terry Vane, Ralph, Tom, Susan (Brent Sadler) and Rich Kocher, his great-grandchildren; Alexandria Kocher, Marcus Kocher, Noelle Vane, Sean Kocher, Vanessa Hernandez, Eddie Hernandez, Jr., Electa Cone, Andrea Rosendahl, Mia Pessenda, Dominic Kocher and Emma and Amie Eekhoff, Avery and Olive Sadler great-great-grandchildren Ensley and Asher Cone. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Beverly, sons Terry and Steven Kocher, infant daughter Susan Marie and grandson Haven Ray Morgan.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 18th at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral & Cremation Service in Humboldt. Visitation will be after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial with military rites by the Sathers-Odgaard VFW & American Legion will be in Union Cemetery, Humboldt. www.masonlindhart.com
