He received his education at Bradgate and graduated from Gilmore City/Bradgate High School with the class of 1962. Following his education, Bob began farming and on November 9, 1963, he was united in marriage to Donna Pisel. The couple made their home near Bradgate where they farmed all of their married lives.
In addition to his farming operations, Bob raised cattle and hogs. He and Donna spent many winters in Sun City, Arizona. He enjoyed woodworking, wildlife and especially liked feeding the birds.
