Roberta (Bobbie) Ann Nilles, 87, of Gilmore City died on Jan. 26, 2019 at the North Care Center in Humboldt. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 pm Wed. Jan.30th at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt. A family inurnment will be held at a later date.

Roberta was born Apr. 12, 1931 to Robert and Blanche Wittman. She grew up in Humboldt and graduated from Humboldt High School. After high school she was employed by the Messenger. She was united in marriage to Harold Nilles on Feb. 23, 1952 and they resided in Fort Dodge for about one year and then decided to move to Thor. In 1963 Harold and Bobbie moved to a farm near Gilmore City and she became a full time farm wife. She was a very good cook and even took out lunches to the men working in the field. She had a large garden and enjoyed canning as many vegetables as she could. In her spare time she enjoyed going to dances of all kinds, including square dancing, ball room and any other dances. Harold and Bobbie wintered in Texas for many years.
Bobbie is survived by her husband, Harold, daughter Kathy (Lyle) Peltz of Waseca, MN., son Gary (Vicki) Nilles of Gilmore City, grandchildren, Trent Nilles, Clint Peltz (Jen Hamilton), Stephanie (Drew) Bartelt, great-grandchildren, Karley, Willow and Chayce, sister, Verna (John) Nilles. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Lois Jean Christiansen and brother Wayne Wittman.
