Ronald J. Lyon, 81, of Humboldt, passed away January 8, 2018 at the Humboldt Care Center North. Inurnment services will be held at a later date. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home of Humboldt is in charge of arrangements.
Ronald J. Lyon, the son of George and Beatrice (Claman) Lyon, was born May 23, 1936 on a farm south of Gilmore City, Iowa. Following his education, Ron farmed and raised hogs in the Dayton and Lehigh area. After quitting his farming operations, he worked for several area farmers as a hired man.
He loved dancing and playing cards and made many trips south in the winter months. He loved having early morning coffee at several places with the guys.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Walter, Charles, Floyd, & Sewell. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
