Sally Ann Schriber, 66, of Gilmore City, passed away November 13, 2015 at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Faith United Methodist Church in Gilmore City. Interment will be in Marble Valley Cemetery, Gilmore City. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the church. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in in charge of arrangements.
Sally Ann Ripperger was born to Elroy and Marcella (Anderson) Ripperger on September 17, 1949 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She was raised and received her education near Gilmore City. She graduated in 1968 from Gilmore City/Bradgate High School. She continued her education at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge earning an Executive Secretarial Degree.
On April 7, 1973, she was united in marriage to Kenny Schriber, Jr. at the Methodist Church in Gilmore City. Sally worked for many years at Iowa Industrial Hydraulics in Pocahontas. Following her employment there, she worked for Upper Des Moines Opportunity and part time for Hy Vee in Humboldt until her retirement in 2011.
Sally was one of the kindest and caring people you would meet. Her love for her grandchildren was beyond measure and she enjoyed every minute she spent with them. Sally also enjoyed her time making greeting cards.
Remaining to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jennifer (Michael) Lash of Gilmore City; her son, Jake (Jessica) Schriber of Gilmore City; grandchildren, Emilie, Landry, Kendra, Whitley, and one expected in December; brother, Jim (Ronda) Ripperger of Fort Dodge; sister, Sandy Fredin of Gilmore City; sisters-in-law, Linda Sanny, Cheryl Braby, and Tracy Schriber; along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Craig James in 1978; her husband, Kenny; and two brothers-in-law, Tim Fredin and Roger Schriber.
