Shirley A Kiley

Shirley A. Kiley, 85, of Dakota City passed away Wednesday. December 9, 2020 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice House in Fort Dodge.

Shirley was born on February 26, 1935 in Fort Dodge, the daughter of Osmond and Sarah (Michaelson) Knudson. She grew up in Humboldt and attended and graduated from Humboldt High School. She was united in marriage to DeWayne Kiley on April 7, 1957 in Humboldt. She worked at Humboldt Trust and Savings Bank for a number of years before working at Bank Iowa in Humboldt. She worked up until her retirement in 1992. She enjoyed spending time with her family, working outdoors and attending her grandchildren’s activities.

She is survived by her daughters Deanne (David) Myers and Lisa Kiley both of Humboldt, grandchildren Shannon (Megan) Myers and Kylee (Robert) Myott, great-grandchildren Kasey, Colton and Hadley. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband DeWayne, brothers Orville and Milford and sisters Esther, Bertha and Norma.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Burial will be held in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Hardy.
