Steve Sawyer, 48, of Livermore, passed away December 23, 2015 at Unity Point Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge. Visitation and gathering time for Steve will be from 12 – 3 p.m. Sunday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt followed by graveside services in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Livermore.
Steve is survived by his children, Ashley (Ryan) Foth of Livermore, Amber Sawyer of Colorado Springs, CO, Trent Sawyer of Livermore, Levi Sawyer of Livermore, and Kaylee Sawyer of Livermore; his parents, Sharon and Kenneth Sawyer of Humboldt; brother, Scott (Julia) Sawyer of Whiting, Iowa; and sisters, Kimberly (Randal) Metzger of Livermore, and Niki (Ryan) Rathert of Lantana, Texas.
Steve Sawyer, the son of Kenneth and Sharon (Walton) Sawyer, was born September 5, 1967 at Hartley, Iowa. The family soon moved to Fort Dodge where Steve began his education. They then moved to Livermore where Steve attended Twin Rivers High School. Following his education, Steve worked for Hy-Capacity, ABC Seamless Siding, Eaton’s, and Liguria Foods. He also enjoyed helping his parent’s farm throughout his life.
In addition to his love of farming, Steve enjoyed deer hunting and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Chicago Cubs Fan. Above all, Steve loved his five children and enjoyed following their activities.
