Tony L. Thompson, 45, of Pioneer, passed away at his home. A visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. Monday, June 18, 2018 at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt. A Celebration of Tony’s Life will follow at the funeral home.
Tony Lynn Thompson, the son of Danny Thompson and Jennifer Lynn Lilly, was born August 28, 1972 at Humboldt, Iowa. He was raised on a farm in Humboldt county and attended school in Humboldt. He graduated from Humboldt high school with the class of 1991. Following his education, Tony worked for Farm Egg, for Bob Dodd, and at Kars Body Shop in Fort Dodge.
Tony loved working on cars and had a great talent for bodywork and painting. He was an artist and enjoyed drawing. Tony was hos own man and lived life as he wanted. He loved his dogs, especially his current dog, Tater and enjoyed his many talks with his dad. A marksman, Tony won many medals in competitive BB gun competitions and enjoyed summer trips to his grandparents cabin on Long Lake in Minnesota.
Tony is survived by his dad, Danny (Chris) Thompson of Goldfield; brothers, Daryl (Richelle) Hinners of Queen City, MO, Austin (Rose) Thompson of Hardy, and Scott (Stephanie McGregor) Thompson of Eagle Grove; as well as his niece and nephews, Maxwell, Emmett, and Genny. His mother, Jennifer Hinners, preceded him in death.
