Wanda L. Dodrill, 52, of Dakota City, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Trinity Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Interment will be at Indian Mound Cemetery, Humboldt. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.
Wanda is survived by her significant other of 29 years, Edward Coferly of Dakota City; Son Jim Dodrill of Dakota City; Sisters, Peg (Richard) Lowe; and Michelle (JD) Hackett; Nieces and Nephews, Michael and Andrea Lowe, Ashton Hanson, Matthew Reetz and Zachary Hackett; Great Nieces and Nephews, Kiana Reetz, Aaron Hansen, and Drake Lowe; and Grand-daughter, Kali Dodrill. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and her son Danny Chamberlain.
Wanda Dodrill, daughter of Warren J. and Mary (Schwint) Reetz was born April 25, 1957 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. After completing school, Wanda began working in the restaurant business while she cared for her children. She was an employee at Hardee’s in Humboldt for eight years and later started her career at Casey’s in Dakota City for the last ten years of her life. An avid reader, Wanda enjoyed reading novels down by the river, visiting casinos, playing crossword puzzles and treasured spending time with her grand-daughter Kali Jo.
