Wayne E. King, 47, of Humboldt, passed away August 3, 2011 at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt with the Rev. Walden Paige officiating. Interment will be in the Webster City Cemetery. Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. Friday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.
Wayne Edward King, the son of Wayne and Kathryn (Keeley) King, was born July 23, 1964 in Rockford, Illinois. At the age of six, he moved with his family to Humboldt. He attended school at Humboldt and graduated from high school. Wayne has been employed by High Capacity in Humboldt for nearly 20 years and took great pride in the odd jobs he did for his friends and neighbors. Wayne loved dirt track races and every Saturday night was spent at the track. Above all Wayne will be remembered by his family for his devotion to his children and the way he loved to spoil his grandchildren.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Beth (Lang) King of Humboldt; sons, Tony Lee King, Thomas Edward King, Christopher McKenna, Tony Lynn Michael Wyatt, and Garth Wyatt; daughter, Tammy Kay King; grandchildren, Kaidon, Dakota, Miley, Shaylee, Kaylee, Trayton, and Carle; his aunt Marjorie (Tom) Smith of Humboldt; and his cousins, Angie (Don) Barnes and Geoff (Leah) Rau. He was preceded in death by his parents.
