Wayne E. Tuttle, the son of Leonard and Doris (Lohse) Tuttle, was born January 20, 1963, in Westbrook, Minnesota.
He was raised and educated in Sioux Rapids, Iowa. On April 3, 1982, Wayne was united in marriage to Carmen Dice at First Presbyterian Church in Paullina. The couple later divorced. After spending 11 years together with his best friend, Wayne finally convinced Tammie Ashley to marry him in 2011 in the Gazebo at Humboldt.
Wayne worked for Russell’s Ready Mix in Orange City while living in Paullina. After moving to Hardy he worked for Advanced Drainage Systems in Eagle Grove before retiring due to his health.
He enjoyed fishing, cooking and eating, camping, canoeing, riding his motorcycle, playing horseshoes, fireworks and having bonfires where he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Wayne passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Humboldt Care Center South at the age of 58 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Doris; first wife, Carmen; niece, Holly Tuttle and mother-in-law, Diane DeLaney.
Survivors include his wife, Tammie Tuttle of Hardy; children: Amy (Jason) Tuttle of Alta, Teresa (Christian) Tchamda of Spencer, Megan (Ryan) Tuttle of Lu Verne and Madison (Billy) Tuttle of Hardy; grandchildren: Chase Long, Lillyan Doty, Sophia Doty, Carter Tchamda, Phoebe Tchamda (soon to arrive, baby Tchamda), Rilyn Tuttle and Remi Wempen; siblings: Karon (Bill) Schoonover of Calumet, Shirley Morris of Sioux Rapids, Maynard (Julie) Tuttle of Spencer, Anita Edwards of Spencer, Brenda (Alan) Schealler of Greenville, Ron (Teri) Cerwick of Hardy and Denny Lippolt of Hardy.
Funeral services will be 11:30 a.m. on Monday, January 17, 2022, at Mason Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery near Hardy.
