Wilfred “Willy” Wiuff

Wilfred “Willy” Wiuff, 74, of Rutland, Passed away February 27, 2012 at his home near Rutland.  Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012, at the Trinity Lutheran Church near Rutland.  Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home in Humboldt.
Willy is survived by his wife, Nancy Wiuff of Rutland; sons, Jeff Wiuff of West Bend, and Jay (Barbara) Wiuff of Rutland; granddaughters, Angela and Ashley Wiuff, Jessica and Jordain Croker, and Jennifer Skow; grandsons, Craig and Adam Olson, Kyle Wiuff, Aaron Johnson, and Matthew Rasmussen; and 11 great grandchildren.   He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Teri; infant sons, Curtis and Mickey; and sisters, Virginia Billings and Marjorie Becker.
Wilfred Clarence Wiuff, the son of Clarence and Margaret (Madsen) Wiuff, was born May 27, 1937 in the same house he passed away in on the family farm between Rutland and Bode.  He received his education in Delana Township Country schools and at Bode, graduating from Bode High School in 1955.  Following his education, Willy was employed by P&M Stone at Rutland before enlisting into the Untied States Army.  He was honorably discharged and returned home to care for his aging mother.  In August of 1960, Willy was united in marriage to West Bend Native, Nancy Bennett at the Little Brown Church at Nashua.  The couple made their home on the family farm all of their married lives.  The couple managed their farming operations, which included custom hauling grain and livestock and hogs.  Willy especially enjoyed his cattle and in his retirement continued to show interest in his sons cattle operations.

Willy was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church at Rutland.  He enjoyed fishing and trips to their lake home on Lake Amelia in Minnesota.  He also enjoyed coffee with friends at Rutland, playing cards and trips to the casino, and helping Nancy with the children that she baby sat for.  Above all, Willy cherished the time he spent with his family.
