Wilma L. Crowl, 79, of Humboldt, died on June 26, 2010, at the South Care Center in Humboldt, after a brief illness.  Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 1st at the Zion Lutheran Church in Humboldt with burial in the Indian Mound Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will be on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.  The Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home of Humboldt is in charge of arrangements.

Wilma Loretta Lehman was born July 6, 1930 on the family farm in Beaver Township, Humboldt County, IA, the eldest of four children to Elmer Otto and Emma Martha Johanna (Licht) Lehman.  She was baptized August 3, 1930 at Zion Lutheran Church, Beaver Township by the Rev. Max Friedrich, and was confirmed April 18, 1943 by Rev. G.E. Mensing.  She attended Country School at Beaver Township #4 and #6 and graduated with the Humboldt Class of 1947.  Following graduation, Wilma worked at Humboldt Trust and Savings Bank.
She was united in marriage to Phillip Lyle Crowl on November 2, 1952 at the bride’s home.  The couple made their home in Humboldt, before briefly relocating to California while Phil was in the Navy.  Upon Their return to Humboldt, Wilma was employed as Humboldt County Deputy Clerk of Court for 9 years and an Auto Deputy in the Treasures Office for 4 years.  The couple had two children, Bret Alan and Colleen Marie.  Wilma enjoyed work as a seamstress and did clothing alterations for many years.  She also worked at Berry Hearing and Audiology Center for over 30 years.
Wilma was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Hobby Club, Humboldt County Friendly Visitors, the Hospital Auxiliary and volunteered for the Food Share Program.  Wilma enjoyed coffee with the “Hearty Girls”, flowers, garage sales, sewing of all kinds, and especially loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Phil; children, Bret and Candace Crowl of Ackley, and Colleen Lundgren and Bob Petersen of Sutherland; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Stefan, and Ian Crowl of Fort Dodge, Kara and Matthew Rewerts of Ackley, Drew Green and Allie Lundgren of Sutherland; one great grandchild, Emma Jade Green; and two sisters, Luella Olmsted and Lela Mae Lisk, both of Des Moines.  She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather Ernest Weiss; and one brother, Eldon Lehman.

Wilma was loved by all and will be truly missed by friends an family alike.
